Paper Mill and Conversion Plant
Case study
Start date: February 2025 | End date: March 2026 | Industry sector: Paper Manufacture
The Challenge
To establish and increase manufacturing capacity of paper conversion and paper making, within the UK, our client made a major investment to build a new converting plant and paper mill, in the North Wales region at Deeside.
The project was a complete factory build to house the new facility and involved an extensive electrical installation to deliver a cutting-edge high-capacity conversion plant and paper mill facility.
This large-scale build required the experience and expertise of an industrial electrical engineering business, to manage the complete electrical installation of this vast project, which encompassed medium-voltage (MV) substations, power supply, mains distribution network of the complete facility and site lighting, internal and external.
To meet the demands of the proposed high-tech production, a network system needed to be installed to manage the smooth and safe running of production, which would monitor and detect operational issues.
Delta Rock managed the complete electrical installation requirements, across both phases of this project: the conversion plant and paper mill. The project also included the installation of a fibre optic communications network system.
