Celebrating Delta Rock Promotion

In less than three years Pete has made significant impact to the continued success at Delta Rock and we are pleased to announce his promotion to General Manager.

Pete joined the team in September 2022 with a wealth of experience, as a Senior Projects Manager.  With invaluable experience working at senior levels, along with knowledge and expertise in electrical and instrumentation engineering, Pete was quickly promoted to Operations Manager in November 2023.

With his continued hard work, exceptional loyalty, commitments and vital experience that he brings, Delta Rocks has continued to develop and  grow, under the guide and management of Pete. It was, therefore, the next natural step for Pete to take the role of General Manager.

Where it began

It was no surprise that Pete chose a career in Electrical Engineering, as it was really in his blood, having worked in the family industrial electrical engineering business from the age of twelve. From that early age Pete watched the electricians and engineers in the office, fueling his interest in electrical engineering.

Once finished school, Pete took the apprentice route to qualify as an electrician. During his apprenticeship, Pete studied at college and worked on-site gaining crucial skills and experience. Once qualified Pete spent two years on site working as a qualified electrician.

Always eager to move on, Pete was keen to move to a role in the office. The opportunity came in the role as an Estimator, which he put himself forward for and never looked back. This gave Pete the initial experience of managing contracts from the initial tendering process to implementing the complete job. After three years working within the family business, as an Estimator, he felt it was time to move forward and embrace a new challenge.

Moving from Electrician to Estimator Roles

The next role was again as an estimator, but within a much larger industrial electrical engineering company. Working in a bigger organisation offered Pete greater opportunities to gain a range of experience and progress his career.

Pete’s role saw him quickly move from Estimator to Project Engineer. His responsibilities now included the management of the complete projects, from tender stage, to estimating, through to on-site project management, cost control and job completion, plus liaising with both site teams and the clients.

Working in industrial electrical engineering has seen Pete work on projects in a range of industries, including food and beverage, waste management, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and process engineering.

With his wealth of accumulated knowledge about business management and electrical and instrumentation experience and expertise, Pete reached the role of Company Director. For most people reaching that role would be the pinnacle of their career and they would be happy to remain in that role.

Not Pete. After twenty-seven years with the business Pete decided to once again seek a new challenge.

Moving to Delta Rock

Fortunate for Delta Rock, Pete’s decision to find a new role, coincided with an opportunity arising at Delta Rock. This led to his initial discussions with Scott Davis (co-owner of The Ethikos Group and owner of Delta Rock), regarding the progression plan he had for Delta Rock.

Delta Rock was an established company, but at the exciting next stage of growth. This opportunity would provide Pete was a new challenge. The role would provide Pete with different challenges and ability to have an influence on the direction of the business and its planned growth.

Pete started his role as Senior Projects Manager at Delta Rock. With his drive and the impact, he has had over a short period of time, it was quickly acknowledged what an integral role Pete played within the business. It’s why just over a year at the business, he gained a significant promotion to Operations Manager.

Continued Development of Delta Rock

Having made significant impact to various key operational aspects at Delta Rock to benefit both the internal team, customers and the business, Pete’s position at Delta Rock has gone from strength to strength.

In his new role of General Manager, Pete’s responsibilities overseeing the whole of the business, it’s day-to-day management of projects, overseeing and managing the team and client base, and working closely with the CEO (Scott) on the direction and continued progress and growth of Delta Rock.

Pete said, “My time at Delta Rock has flown by and the opportunity couldn’t have come at a better time. Although a difficult decision to leave a role after 27 years, it was definitely the right decision for me. Delta Rock has so much to offer with a superb team, of highly experienced, qualified professionals. Being part of a business that I could develop and grow myself, whilst having a greater influence in the development of the business, is what I wanted and enjoy most. It’s provided me with the challenge I was looking for. I’m keen to progress Delta Rock further and I’m fortunate to be working alongside a great team to support the business in reaching its goals”.

Outside of work, Pete has several interests that keep him fit and busy. Always up for a challenge, he continues to run and participates in a number of running challenges. Pete is also a keen golfer and enjoys cycling and spending time with his family.

Scott Davis, co-owner of The Ethikos Group, parent company of Delta Rock Group, said “It was obvious from the initial meeting that Pete could be a huge benefit to Delta Rock and in the relevantly short time Pete has been with Delta Rock, he has proved that. He is a fantastic asset to the business. Aside from his immense knowledge and experience, which is a huge benefit, Pete’s high standards in everything he does, professional attitude and ethics, sits perfectly with The Ethikos Group. We knew he would very much align to Delta Rock values and vision for future success and growth. This second promotion was again in recognition of his unique qualities, hard work and commitment. We know in his role of General Manager he won’t sit still but will continue to evolve and progress the business for us”.

It’s an exciting time for both Pete and Delta Rock, and we wish him every success.
