Our Control Design Engineer Celebrates 5 Years at Delta Rock

Our Control Design Engineer Celebrates 5 Years at Delta Rock

It’s time to celebrate yet another Delta Rock employee milestone of long service with the company.

Congratulations to our talented Control Design Engineer – Matt for his hard work and development and his continued contributions to the growing success of the Delta Rock Group.

It’s always rewarding to give out our employee long service awards. As with every business, the success of Delta Rock is down to the dedication, talent and expertise of the people we have in our team. They all contribute to keeping the cogs moving and developing and growing the business.

We believe that building a business where people want to be part of the team, pays dividends to the sustainability of the business. At Delta Rock we continue to develop and nurture an environment that our staff are happy and enjoy working in. Our reward is the loyalty and top-quality workmanship, and excellence in the field our teams achieve.

Like many of our team, Matt’s partnership with Delta Rock started as an electrical apprentice. Matt has since spent time with our experienced and high-qualified team installing cables and electrical infrastructure systems on a wide variety of sites and projects. This then followed his transfer into working at our head office workshop.

Based in our workshop, Matt fulfilled the role as an Installation Apprentice, to which he has recently qualified. His time in our control panel workshop developed his skills and knowledge in the design and construction of electrical control systems. The expertise Matt has accumulated has led to working on site to install and commission the control panel systems he has been involved with from the initial workshop build.

During this role he combined his practical skills obtained from on-site experience with theoretical thought processing. It was the combination of these vital attributes that made him the ideal employee to progress into his current role as Controls Design Engineer supporting to our Technical Manager, Michal. Supported by our Technical Manager, Matt role now sees him taking on further responsibility in the design of automation systems.

With Delta Rock’s continued support of apprenticeships, with our latest apprentices starting last month, Matt also supports and mentors the Electrical Apprentices in the workshop. This equips them in gaining an understanding and hands-on experience of the design and build of control panel systems.

Delta Rock’s General Manager, Gareth Hitchmough who presented the award said, “Congratulations Matt on reaching an important milestone with Delta Rock. It’s always rewarding seeing our employees progress within the company and for Matt this is no exception. From starting out as an electrical apprentice and working his way up joining the electrical installation team and now progressing to Controls Design Engineer. This expresses his passion for the industry and hunger to progress in his career. It’s impressive to think of the skills he’s gained from a diverse variety of experience within Delta. I look forward to seeing Matt continue to progress with us as a professional Automation Design Engineer”.

Matt added “I really enjoy the variety and challenge of the different work that I undertake. I appreciate Delta Rock for supporting me in the progression of my career. The best bit about my role is seeing my designs going from design to manufacture and finally to operating in the real world”.
