Successful Completion of Bespoke Control Panels System
Providing bespoke automated control panel systems for the West Midland Metro Link’s expansion, we’re pleased to have completed this important project to support the upgrade and expansion of the Midlands Metro Link.
This project plays a significant role in modernising the Birmingham City’s outdated systems. Midland Midland Metro Alliance’s ambition is to improve the Midlands transport network by streamlining and enhancing the commuting experience and reduce traffic congestion and pollution, within the Birmingham region.
Updating Public Sector Transport
With the expertise of Delta Rock automation team, we have delivered a collection of low-voltage distribution panels to the Birmingham City Metro, to support the Midland Metro Alliance’s focus to modernise the region’s transport network, and improve the ease of use, to make using the tram a more attractive option for residents and visitors.
Control Panels Built by the Experts
To meet the needs of this system upgrade our in-house automation team designed and manufacture 9 custom-built control panels. These panels were installed to a batch of new trams stops, along Birmingham’s Midland Metro Service. The panels will power a variety of electrical elements needed within the stations.
Design, Manufacture and Sign-off
The panels were designed to provide 230V AC current to various electrical circuits, and installed in several stages. The panels were manufactured to meet the specific needs of our client and in conjunction with all relevant industrial standards and regulations.
On completion and before transporting the panels to site, all electrical systems underwent extensive testing by our trained professionals. The appropriate documentation and testing certificates were then issued to the client.
