New State-of-the-Art Paper Mill
The new paper mill, poised to become a vital regional asset, will feature cutting-edge technology, including eight advanced converting machines and a high-capacity paper mill machine. Delta Rock’s comprehensive scope of work encompasses the electrical installation, from the high-voltage (HV) substations down to installing the complete lighting system and intricate fibre optic communications systems to each control panel system.
Scope of Electrical Installation
A key component of the project involves the electrical installation of a robust 33kV substation and associated HV switchgear. This infrastructure will ensure a reliable and stable power supply to the entire facility. Delta Rock’s engineers will install the mains power distribution network, ensuring seamless power delivery to all machines and converting lines.
Lighting for a Safe and Efficient Environment
The project also includes the complete lighting solution for the facility, encompassing both standard lighting to ensure a safe and productive environment and emergency lighting systems. The emergency lighting, designed to illuminate safe route exits in the event of a power failure or emergency, will adhere to the highest safety standards, guaranteeing the well-being of all personnel.
Implementing Communications between Critical Control Panel System
At the heart of the mill’s operation is a sophisticated fibre optic communications network, which will also be installed by Delta Rock. This network will connect to each control panel, facilitating real-time data exchange and enabling precise, synchronised control of the entire production process. In the event of a fault or operational disruption at any stage, the communication system will instantly relay information to all connected control panels, triggering a coordinated shutdown to prevent damage and safeguarding operations.
