Providing the Power to the Food and Beverage Industry

Supporting UK Manufacturing Growth

With our background of experience working with the Food and Beverage industry, providing electrical engineering and automation services, we are pleased to have been successful in winning the project for a new Gin distillery, based in Warwickshire.

With the demand in the UK gin market remaining strong, the current facility is being expanded to accommodate demand. This site will boast a new head office, production, and distribution centre and aims to make alcohol for 75% of Britain’s artisan gins.

Delta Rock has developed the electrical cabling infrastructure to power the site and will manage all the electrical & instrumentation cabling installation and containment for this new gin distillery site.

The construction of the Solvents part of the site in Warwickshire has begun, and Delta has already reviewed the requirements of the job and started to install the basket tray to the overhead bridge infrastructure that directs the output pipes from the silos, containing the raw materials used to produce the gins.

Working in a Hazardous Area – Zone 1 & 2

This raw material will then be pumped into the mixers to allow it to be further distributed through the pipework to IBC and Drum containers. Due to the nature of the raw materials the site has been classified a Hazardous Area (Zone 1 & 2 ) and all equipment will be inspected by our CompEx Engineers in accordance with the regulations.

At the start of the project one aspect of the project that Delta needed to consider was the installation of the processing equipment, and the best method of directing it across the facility. To avoid interference to the machine operators, the processing line cabling infrastructure has been designed to be directed above the machinery via a range of basket and cable tray works.

This project is progressing well, and we’ll be pleased to taste the fruits (or should we say gin) of our labour at the end of the project. We’ll keep you posted.
