Delta Rock secures their first public transport sector project
One of Delta Rock’s latest contracts is supporting the upgrade and expansion of the Midlands Metro Link through bespoke automated control systems. Our team will provide the Birmingham City Metro with a range of low voltage distribution panels.
Midland Metro Alliance’s ambition is to improve the Midlands transport network by streamlining and enhancing the commuting experience for their residents and visitors. This will assist in the reduction of traffic congestion and pollution, within the Birmingham region and encourage people to travel on a tram instead of taking the car.
Delta Rock are excited to be part of such a project. Public transport is a sector that automation can have a positive impact to support the modernisation and expansion of transport networks.
Delta Rock’s automation expertise
Our in-house automation specialist team will deliver 9 panels that will be installed to a batch of newly built tram stops along the Midland Metro Service route in Birmingham. These panels will be fully bespoke and provide power to an array of electrical elements featured within the stations.
The panel has been designed to provide 230V AC current to various circuits and will be installed in stages in these new facilities. The collection of panels will be manufactured in accordance with relevant industrial standards along with adhering to the client’s specific specifications.
Design and production
Strict in-depth design and production plans will be adhered to by the team, to ensure efficient and successful delivery of the project to the client’s criteria. Before the panels are shipped to site, extensive testing by our trained professionals will be undertaken and the appropriate testing documentation certificates will be issued to the client.
The Purpose of the project
This collection of panels are being produced for the main role of supplying current to electrical items located on the station platforms.
